Dance

Dance

Children immerse themselves in choreographed routines spanning various dance styles, including street dance, jazz, and ballet. We emphasise refining technique while also allowing plenty of time for self-expression and, of course, a good boogie!

Sing

Sing

Children explore a range of singing styles, from pop to classical. Throughout the camp, they’ll master the art of memorising song lyrics and learn to harmonise as a team. For our keen singers, we encourage solos, providing opportunities for individual expression and growth.

Act

Act

At the heart of all we do at our camps is acting! We aim to inspire and build confidence. Recognising that public speaking is a crucial skill for adulthood, we guide and encourage all children, regardless of their age, to have a speaking role in our performances.

Craft

Craft

Every day of camp, we dedicate time to crafting for our show. Whether it’s creating scenery, props, or programmes, children get hands-on experience in bringing their artistic vision to life. This activity promotes mindfulness.

Perform

Perform

We strive to create a magical performance experience for children. Our goal is to nurture and support them every step of the way, ensuring they enjoy the process from start to finish. Each child receives their own costume, face paint, and hair styling for the show, adding an extra touch of excitement to their performance!

Important Information

Our camps specialise in teaching dancing, singing, and acting to children in a fun-filled, low-pressure environment. Each day is energetic and exciting.

The children will participate in learning age-appropriate dance choreography, acting scenes, singing musical numbers, and using their artistic talents to create themed crafts for scenery and props—all while playing games and building new friendships, because that’s what camp is all about! On the final day, we aim to dazzle with a performance where each child gets their own costume, face paint, and the opportunity to experience performing.

Our nurturing environment ensures that every child feels supported and encouraged, and no prior experience is necessary.

Bookings are made directly through Class For Kids, which is accessible below. Alternatively, you can email Christia for further information at info@motiondance.org.

Of course! The children perform at 3 PM on the final day of each camp. We provide costumes and face paint for each child to make the performance experience exciting and memorable.

We understand that your child may be new to camp and performing arts activities. Firstly, we are here to support them in making new friendships and participating in activities. Secondly, we provide a pressure-free atmosphere where we teach and guide them. Our goal is for each child to leave our camp every day feeling fulfilled and happy.

Our camp is open to children aged 4-11, understanding that siblings may need to attend together. While we divide specific activities into age-appropriate groups, our show is a collaborative effort. Children of all ages come together to perform as one cast, fostering a sense of unity and teamwork.

Children should wear comfortable attire and shoes suitable for safe dancing. Motion Dance t-shirts are available to purchase on the first day of camp.

Please ensure your child brings only essential items, including a water bottle, morning snack, and lunch. If your child has any allergies, please inform us, and we will request that all camp members refrain from packing foods that may trigger an allergic reaction (e.g., peanuts).

Yes, please fill in the registration form with as much detail as possible. The more information you provide us with, the better care we can provide for your child. Additionally, we will discuss your child’s needs directly with you on the first day of camp.

Qualified first aiders are available at camp to handle accidents and illnesses. Minor incidents are treated with care. However, if your child experiences a more serious injury or falls ill, we will contact you immediately. Upon pickup, we will ask you to sign an accident form.

Payments can be made directly through the Class For Kids system. Please note that a platform fee applies. Alternatively, you may choose to make payment via BACS to avoid this fee. We will then issue you confirmation of payment via email. Contact Christia at info@motiondance.org for further information.

Camp bookings are non-refundable. However, if your child is unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances, we will offer you credit for another camp.

All Motion Dance teachers and assistants have an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check which is on the Direct Gov Update Service.
